The role of CRIBIS for companies
CRIBIS, a CRIF Group company, is a company specialized in providing credit information on Italian companies and over 250 million foreign companies through its membership in the Dun&Bradstrett Worldwide Network, a globally recognized system for tracking, identifying and obtaining business information on all companies operating worldwide.
The meaning of the recognition and the criteria for certification
The CRIBIS Prime Company recognition is a distinctive sign of prestige awarded annually to only 7 percent of more than 6 million Italian companies. Its awarding system is based on the CRIBIS D&B Rating, an indicator that, through an advanced statistical algorithm, assesses the likelihood of a company generating serious trade defaults. The calculation uses several variables, including biographical information, geographical area, financial statement data, company history, payment experience etc.
This recognition represents the highest level of rating of an organization’s commercial reliability and is awarded exclusively to the companies that demonstrate high economic/commercial reliability, standing out for on-time payments to suppliers.
